| On Wednesday the 19th of February, the sea turned up to be very rough and we had to cancel our fieldwork...
We went on a wine tasting excursion to Hermanus for the afternoon... |

We visited three local wine farms, and drove along the mountain ridge behind Hermanus to admire the fantastic views over Walker Bay, Hermanus and Gansbaai...

Thursday the 20th of February, we loaded the boat and were ready to launch in the little harbour of Kleinbaai... but the sea was too rough, and we had to cancel our excursion.
On Friday the 21st, we managed to go out to sea to Dyer Island... very nice day... but without sharks... thousands of Cormorants were flying around us - Amazing! Later in the afternoon, we heard that some commercial cage diving boats had one shark, so we lifted our anchor and lied next to them. Linda and Paul said their good byes to the sharks! |

Lydia, Jennie and Costas spent the day on Stan... and they had a few sharks!!! I went to Cape Town to drop off Linda and Paul who were heading off to Robben Island before going back down under... Very sad moment... |
